Sound Journeys: Northern Passages

  • Residency: July 18 - 20
  • Performance at Harbourfront centre: July 21
  • Winnipeg - Toronto

Ojibway singer-songwriter Nick Sherman is joined by UK singer-songwriter and cerebral storyteller Jess Morgan aboard a train residency, along with KC Adams, a Canadian-born Métis artist. Together they will explore the passage from Winnipeg to Toronto, discovering the sights and sounds of Canada’s northern region along the way.

Given that for countless generations in Canada's North storytelling was both entertainment and a means of reinforcing values and beliefs, the three Northern Passages train passengers will find themselves surrounded by winds and landscapes carrying the voices of countless generations of storytellers. By way of the Northern Passages festival, discover a portion of this spellbinding region along with Nick Sherman, Jess Morgan, and KC Adam on their adventure.
