Mentored by Kelvin Valley Honey
Ran completed his third year at Wilfrid Laurier University Majoring in Communication Studies and double-Minoring in Computer Science and Environmental Studies. His passion for environmental sustainability and awareness had led him to a SSIM placement with Kelvin Valley Honey in Kilsyth, Scotland. Kelvin Valley Honey aims to raise awareness of the importance of honey bees and promote the conservation of bee friendly habitats. The organization assists in the social and economic regeneration of multiply disadvantaged communities by outsourcing bee consumer products, and through engagement with disadvantaged communities through various projects. Ran will be working with KVH in increasing its impact on local communities through its practices, and in the process will learn of the various aspects pertaining to Social Enterprise and the Environmental sector.
